OVERVIEW

At Gig Healthcare, we respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information responsibly. This Data Deletion Policy explains how users may request deletion of their data, what data may be deleted, and what limitations apply based on regulatory and business obligations.

1. WHO CAN REQUEST DATA DELETION

Any individual with a registered account on our platform—including healthcare professionals, applicants, and clients—may request deletion of their personal information.

2. HOW TO REQUEST DELETION

To initiate a data deletion request, please email us at operations@gighealth.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” Include:

  • Your full name

  • The email address associated with your account

  • A brief description of your request

We may request additional verification before proceeding.

3. WHAT DATA CAN BE DELETED

Subject to applicable laws and contractual requirements, we may delete:

  • Contact information (e.g., name, phone, email)

  • Uploaded documents (e.g., resumes, licenses)

  • Application and profile data

  • Activity logs and usage data

  • Other personal identifiers collected during account registration

4. LIMITATIONS AND EXCEPTIONS

Certain data may not be deleted upon request if:

  • It is required to meet regulatory compliance (e.g., The Joint Commission retention requirements)

  • It is necessary to maintain audit trails for legal or contractual purposes

  • It forms part of historical backup archives that cannot be individually isolated or modified

  • It is retained in connection with pending or ongoing legal matters

In such cases, we will retain the data only for as long as legally required.

5. RETENTION TIMELINE AND DELETION PROCESS

Gig Healthcare retains user data only for as long as we have a legitimate business purpose or regulatory requirement. Once this need has passed:

  • Personally identifiable information (PII) will be deleted or de-identified

  • Devices used to store restricted or confidential data will be securely wiped or destroyed

  • All deletions will follow strict secure disposal procedures as outlined in our internal Data Management Policy

Requests will typically be processed within 30 days, though legal or technical constraints may occasionally extend this timeline.

6. SECURE DELETION MEASURES

We follow industry-standard practices including:

  • Full disk encryption

  • Secure wiping of storage devices

  • Certified data destruction for hardware

  • Encrypted backups and restricted access to confidential systems

7. QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS

For questions related to your data, including how it is stored or used, please refer to our Privacy Policy or contact us at operations@gighealth.com.
